What would have happened if conventional war had broken out between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in the 1980's? Here is your chance to find out, as you command the US or Soviet forces.

NvWP is a turn-based tactical wargame of moderate 3D graphics, a solid information system, and a rather vicious computer player. It is very deterministic, with little die rolling, and this rewards strategy.

This is a modern Windows version of the old DOS classic, Germany 1985. It preserves the fun of the original while doing away with the clumsy user interface of the era. It also includes scenarios for RDF 1985 and Baltic 1985.

1. Create a temp directory to store these files in.
2. Download nvwpgame.zip - Game itself

Install the Game

1. Unzip nvwpgame.zip. This file can be easily unzipped via right-clicking on the icon or using any number of unzip utilities from the internet.
   
   
2. Run the setup program to actually install the game. It will prompt you for the directory to install in. Your "install directory" can be c:\SWB\nvwp or whatever else you choose.
   
   

Clean up and Enjoy

1. Remove the temp directory and it's contents.
2. Click Start, then Programs, then NVWP to play.
